Facebook is all set to expand its wings beyond social networking

Going ahead of being a social networking giant, Facebook is now taking major steps to move into furthermore business wings, with increasing its competitors and competing for the business share of their conventional business regions.

According to latest reports, Facebook will soon roll out its ad platform ‘Atlas’ that it purchased from Microsoft last year, with an aim to help businesses and marketers track their ads more effectively across the web.

The update is released by Re/code.

According to its report, Facebook will facilitate businesses to purchase ads on websites and applications even outside the Facebook.

Facebook insists that the ads one can buy won’t be Facebook Ads, but by using the targeting data of Facebook. They will be more effective than other huge ad platforms, according to the company.

Atlas by Facebook will involve various partners, but the social networking major has announced only two so far. And, these are Omnicom, the ad holding giant that deals with majors like Google, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, the photo sharing platform acquired by Facebook since 2012.

Facebook says that the ads will know some basic facts about you, but the actual identity will remain hidden to publishers and advertisers.
