An opening ceremony for R&D and testing center in Nanning, China is hosted by Foxconn.
The new center will be featuring several labs for experiments such as reliability, failure analysis and electromagnetic compatibility testing, as well as a cloud computing data center.
The center is said to be mainly focusing on R&D, testing and certification of electronics and communication technologies. Foxconn is investing CNY150 million (US$24.6 million) to establish the center.
Starting 2014, Foxconn will conduct over 10 projects at the center each year with the number of researchers expected to reach 1,000 by the end of 2015.
