BMW partners with Intel, will test 40 self-driving car

BMW’s partnership with Intel and Mobileye goals to put a fleet of around 40 self-driving vehicles to test on the road in the second half of 2017, the organizations said.

The top notch carmaker declared its partnership with the two technology firms in July with the objective of developing the capability of introducing autonomous vehicles in the market by 2021.

BMW’s 7-Series of test vehicles will be fitted with the latest technology from Intel and Mobileye and prepared for test drives across the globe starting in the US and Europe, the three firms said at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas.
