Cisco India inaugurates its Cyber Range Lab in Gurgaon. This lab will provide highly specialized technical training workshops which will help the security staff build the skills and also experience necessary to combat new-age threats.
In the recent need for cybersecurity experts has increased three times faster than any other IT job role. This makes training a cybersecurity workforce a priority for many organizations. As per report form Cisco, there are more than 1 million unfulfilled security jobs worldwide currently. This lack of skills and training hinders organizations from deploying advanced security.
Dinesh Malkani, President, Cisco India and SAARC, said, “The Cisco Cyber Range Lab is now a reality for customers looking to find an advantage against the growing legions of cybercriminals and next generation threats.”
Dr. Gulshan Rai, National Cyber Security Coordinator, Government of India, said “With the cybersecurity framework in place now, the need is for active implementation to better handle the ever-changing threat landscape. An effective implementation of cybersecurity requires IT infrastructure and technical expertise for which the industry should play a responsible role.”
Cisco Cyber Range will engage people in simulated real-world cyber-attacks to get proper training on , preparing for, respond to, and also managing threats. The facility can be accessed virtually from anywhere. It will be like a living lab of technical knowledge for network security and how to mitigate cyber attacks.
As part lab’s experience, Cisco has also designed real-world scenarios that would help clients experience, defend against and shut down cyber-attacks. These scenarios train organizations with the necessary steps that are required to respond quickly in the wake of an incident.
