As per the data published by TRAI, the telecom subscribers base for India dipped by 1.3 lakh to 121.07 in July, 2017. Eight operators including Idea Cellular & Vodafone saw a decline, only three operators Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio and state run BSNL reported subscriber addition in the month.
There was a dip from 118.68 crore in June to 118.67 in July in total mobile subscriber, the fixed line or landline customer base declined from 2.4 crore to 2.39 crore said Telecom Authority of India in its monthly subscribers report.
Reliance Jio topped the market with an approx addition of 52 lakh mobile customers in July which was followed by Airtel (6 lakh New Customers) and BSNL (3.91 Lakh) however idea was the biggest loser. The company lost about 23 lakh customers.
Also, the telecom players like Tata Teleservices lost the customer base of 16 lakh, followed by the Vodafone (13.89 lakhs), Aircel (3.91 Lakhs), Telenor (2.75 lakhs) & MTNL (4703 customers).
