The Linux market is constantly mounting and laptops as well as desktop preloaded with the Linux operating system are making its place in the souk. There are a lot of good reasons for moving to Linux operating system. Looking at the expectation of Linux operating system in the Indian market, many reputed organizations are putting their hands in Linux dealings.

Acer is one of the major merchant in the market, dealing with Linux based laptops. The latest offering from Acer is Aspire 3680 series. HP, Lenovo and HCL are other players in the market dealing with Linux. Linux is getting popularity in every sector. It can be an educational sector, a corporate sector or a public sector. Linux is basically acknowledged for its cost effectiveness.  Due to the changing needs in business, people are getting more and more attracted towards Linux. While in case of Windows, there is only one distribution named as Windows Vista and that too not very successful version.
