Would Apple bet on Centrino2 for its next set of notebooks ?

Apple has been heard of gearing up to release the new set of Laptops based on the Centrino 2 platform. Apple's next round of MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks, insiders say would have surely something to do with Nvidia. After the much acclaimed success of MacAirbook, analysts predict that Apple might switch to Nvidia or an ATI chipset and adopt a processor from AMD or Intel.

Some even say that Apple might design its own chipset or even pick a Intel processor and even a chipset.

Coming down to Centrino 2, it talks of improvements in the form of faster front side bus and memory, low-power Ethernet, improved video performance with customizable color controls.

Also there were additional features such as improved hybrid solid-state/hard-drive storage system, high-speed WiMAX capabilities, hard-core enterprise-level management capabilities called vPro, What's more conspicuous is its ability to switch between power-miserly integrated graphics and power-hungry dedicated graphics chips on the fly. Would Intel settle for that kind of bargain? That's a big question.

If we look at what experts have to say, then its apparent that an ATI chipset cannot be plugged with an Intel processor.

So the next product from Apple seems to generate a lot of curiosity and brings with it an equal amount of speculation.
