Apple to launch mini iPad by this Christmas Apple is expected to launch a mini iPad, December this year. Months ago, the specifications as well as rumours were out in regards to launch of mini iPad. The launch in festive season seems an intentional move to gain some extra attention of the consumers and capture the market too. The mini iPad is expected to weigh around 200 grams lighter than the standard iPad, which was released recently, in April, this year. The company has already won the contracts to make the smaller components than used in the current iPads. It is also expected to have a 7.0 – inch wide screen, which is smaller than standard iPads.
