HP appoints Rajiv Srivastava as the new head of Printing and Personal Systems Group


HP has declared Rajiv Shrivastava as the new head of the combined Printing and Personal Systems Group (PPSG). Presently, Srivastava is the Vice President and General Manager, Personal Systems Group (PSG), HP India.

According to  industry insiders, the decision is aided by the fact that Vyomesh Joshi, Executive Vice President, Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) has announced his retirement after a 31-year career with HP. 

Prior to joining HP in early 2010, Srivastava was the Head of Enterprise and Partner Group at Microsoft India from September 2006 to February 2010. 

According to the latest report, the IT veteran is not new to the PPSG. He was the Director of PSG business between 2002 and 2006. With an experience of 25 years in the industry, Srivastava is all set to take its new role. Earlier, he has also lead Channels at Compaq India, before the PC-maker was got hold of HP.

A spokesperson from HP who did not want to be named has stated, Srivastava has spent many years with HP and hence he is the most probable candidate for the post. Apart from heading PSG he is also the COO. 

Analysts added, Rajiv Srivastava has been selected on account of his vast experience and prior knowledge about its work.
