MSI unveils Wind Box DE220 and the DC220 mini Nettops


Micro-Star International, the PC maker has introduced two space efficient desktops, called the Wind Box nettops DE220 and the DC220 mini.

Both devices are powered by the Intel Pine Trail platform and use the Intel NM10 Express Chipset as a base. Users can choose in between Intel Atom 510 or the Atom 410 CPU with a clock frequency of 1.66 GHz.

Measuring 297 x 223 x 60.2 mm, both systems feature upto 4GB DDR2 memory, Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium operating system, and a 3.5-inch 7200RPM hard drive with a storage space of 160GB.

The difference between the two models is that Wind Box DE220 boasts a Discrete ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4300 Series graphics solution with 256MB, while DC220 comes with the graphics capabilities inside the Integrated Intel NM10 Express Chipset (224MB). Further, DE220 also features an HDMI output.

For connectivity, the two nettops support 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, a 6-in-1 card reader, a VGA connector, USB ports, mic-in and audio-out, as well as eSATA connectors.

Meanwhile, the company has not provided the price details of the nettops.
