Subject: Google Sites competes Microsoft's Sharepoint
Google has announced updates to its Google Sites service that enable users to create their own websites without any hassles. Google has added new templates to the service that will be now be available to businesses and individuals.
The new templates will support personal usage and planning family events, groups and organizations. Google Sites is following JotSpot that was acquired by Google back in 2006. With new templates, users can easily start off a new site with various gadgets, links along with pre-built content.
Businesses also finds the good option of sharing proprietary site templates using Google Apps with more advanced versions.
Google Sites give direct competition to Microsoft's Sharepoint service, that also facilitates users to do the same things as Google Sites does. Although the way Sharepoint and Google Sites operate are quite different. With time it will be evident, as which amongst the two will dominate in terms of users in the near future. | |
