Acer is in a bid to gain the first slot for the best PC vendor in the year 2011 and is targeting to outpace the current Numero Uno position holder HP. The products by Acer have improved considerably over the years and it has risen substantially. The company is now focusing on top global PC makers in 2011 as per reports.

The drift of major tech giants into the cellphone market has become quite a norm. Sources reveal that if the mobile world continues to grow, HP will be replaced as the world's biggest computer-maker. Trusted aids have also revealed that the company would sell more than a million telephones this year. Acer entered the smartphone industry last year, aiming to reach 6 percent to 7 percent of the market in three to five years.

It is believed that the handset vendors are closely watching the PC vendors move into their marketplace. Nonetheless, Acer’s main goal for the year 2011 would be to focus on top global PC market.
