Asia Pacific regions anticipate bigger IT budgets in the coming years

The coming year would see a drastic rise in IT budgets; courtesy software upgrades and implementations.

The majority of companies in Asia-Pacific region are foreseeing around 10% of rise in IT budgets. Around 44% of the firms are expecting a rise in IT budgets. The survey firm cited that Asia-Pacific regions were not hit hard by recession and are now returning to growth.

The companies are insisting not only on growth numbers but are also focusing on how the budgets would be spent. The companies are planning to spend the budgets in deployments, software licenses and other related implementations. CRM and Cloud Computing would also get a chunk of the IT budgets

Asia Pacific regions are keeping cloud on less priority; at this point their focus is high on Desktop Virtualization and other related technologies. The trend in IT budget expenditure seems to be consistent globally ion segments including telecommunications and external IT services for 30 percent, data center systems with 24 percent, end-user equipment for 20 percent, telecom costs with 14 percent and IT services for 13 percent.
