Cisco settles 2 year old conflict with Multiven
Added On:8/3/2010 5:36:00 PM

The conflict between Cisco and Multiven over  network maintenance has finally resolved after two long years. Mutiven charged Cisco of forcing customers to purchase its SmartNet service plan. They also alleged that Cisco did not make the required software updates required for fixing bugs before selling products to the third party.

Multiven charged Cisco two years back, in 2008. A suit was filed against Cisco in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, in San Jose. In return, Cisco dropped counter suits on Multiven. The conflict lasted for whole two years until th e matter settled.

Both the sides paid their own legal costs pertaining to the settlement. Cisco’s counter suits claimed that the users were not forced to buy their services. The matter has now been resolved though Cisco remained unavailable for comment.
