With Gmail, you can add themes that reflect your personality and interests now.

Now onwards you can even personalize your Gmail account after Google personalized homepage and ability to add themes to your Orkut account.

To add themes to your account, users would get a new section in the Gmail settings page named Themes. They can then implement the themes to their mailboxes online from around 30 themes.

The information was rolled out by the company on a blog post. In an effort to go beyond the simple color customization, Google has expanded the themes feature from Orkut to Gmail.

Till date, Gmail users build unofficial extensions to spice up their inboxes for a while. But now they can implement themes to make their Gmail spiced up.  

The related sources stated that themes will be rolled out to everyone over the next couple of days.

Even a minor facelift has been done to Gmail’s default look to make it crisper and cleaner. For this uplift, a few colors and pixels has been shifted around here and there.
