Hewlett-Packard has confirmed to use Windows 7 in a tablet exclusively for enterprises, while making a consumer – oriented unit based on WebOS as facts and speculations for HP’s tablet plans has been coming out from the weeks. HP had been focussed on two operating systems, Windows 7 as well as WebOS.
HP had announced plans for Windows 7 tablet, which is known as HP Slate earlier this year, before it had acquired Palm for about $ 1.2 billion in April. The Palm – pre offers the feature in which the phone can be linked to the carriers wireless WAN (Wide Area Network) while linking to other devices nearby through the use of Wi – Fi. Other type of local network hub can also make the local connections in these hubs.
HP still has not shown any keen interest to make a hub device in the form of watch, which was in rumours five years ago.
