In most recent updates, it is being suggested that HP, the ink leader is planning to scrap its deal with leading middleware provider Oracle for Salesforce.
If the updates turn to be true, it seems to be a major blow for Oracle since the deal. Under the new deal, Salesforce would have the contract to support 35,000 to 40,000 seats and it is expected to turn out as a major backseat for Oracle. The deal apparently seems to be the outcome of HP’s grudge over its CEO move to Oracle, Mark Hurd. Also, the current HP CEO Leo Apotheker was reportedly in a battle with Oracle. The move seems an attempt to settle the scores, cited market watchers.
In fact analysts are citing that move to Salesforce would save HP hefty amount and the deal is expected to be revealed in the forthcoming Dreamforce event.
However, not much details have been divulged by the involved companies. ITVoir NewsDesk |
