After a series of meetings between Indian GOvet and RIM, a stage of sealing a deal on corporate email has arrived. It has been reported that India and Research In Motion have moved closer to an agreement on lawful access and monitoring of the highly-secure corporate email services on BlackBerry devices.

Indian Govt recently said that RIM has in principle agreed to provide recorded data from their servers to the Indian Govt.Sources also reveal that it is also being rumored that RIM would be providing live access to BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server) as well in sometime. India and UAE had expressed concerns that BlackBerry services could be used to stir political or social instability.The two governments had also threatened RIM with a ban if denied access to its highly-secure Messenger and corporate email communications.

Recently, the Indian government said RIM had set up an interim arrangement for lawful interception of BlackBerry Messenger services.
