Internet Explorer is expected to be the least vulnerable browser. It has endured loads of slings and arrows, which are not entirely without justification. In the recent past, Internet Explorer has suffered fewer CVE’s (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) as compared with Safari, Firefox, or Chrome over the past year.
The vulnerabilities play a significant role in targeting the browsers and to be a target among hackers. Internet Explorer dominates the web browsers market; other competing brands like Safari, Mozilla as well as Chrome etc have to rework on their security terms. Safari also shares some of the personal information with third users, according to the related sources.
Among the top most vulnerable software, Mozilla is considered to be at the top with around 15 vulnerability events and around 96 CVE’s, which is then followed by Safari and Chrome. Safari’s popularity is also increasing because of the soaring popularity of Apple's mobile platforms. Apart from this, Google’s Chrome was placed at number three spot with around 70 CVEs and 14 events, which is much higher than Internet Explorer.
