To make its bet safer in SMB market, the company has done a major overhaul to its SMB strategy and has created a new division. The company is taking the necessary steps to make its footprints in SMB division stronger.

The new division as part of major overhaul would have all pre requisites including SMB sales, technical, marketing and others under one head and is expected to counter the aggression of its main rival Google. Headed by Cindy Bates, ten years veteran with Microsoft and currently serving as Channel Partner Strategy, Marketing and Programs Group, as per sources, Microsoft is considering it as its next big bet.

Acknowledging SMB segment as the most competitive battlefield, Microsoft is taking such rigorous steps in the direction.

Apart from SMBs, the Redmond giant is betting heavily on Cloud. In fact, the company is entering into alliances with Fujitsu, as reported to counter the dominance of its biggest rival. The cloud computing is otherwise touted as the next big wave in technology world.
