The recent reports brewing up in the tech world are pointing to an unexpected collaboration; it is likely that constantly stumbling mobile giant Nokia is planning to switch to Microsoft Windows Mobile 7.

In a bid to revamp its mobile strategy, Nokia is planning to take refuge of none other than Microsoft. The Finnish giant is pinning hopes high with Windows Mobile operating system since Symbian is now the talk of gone days. The related sources indicated that both tech power houses have conducted a meeting to discuss the roadmap ahead.

If the discussions turn fruitful, it is apparent that both the companies would get dedicated partners and would not have to drop their armours before the entry into real battle. Nokia would get an operating system to fight back against rivals including iOS, Android and others; while Microsoft would get a mobile maker who is otherwise global leader in the segment.

The assumptions are not concrete enough since involved giants have not nodded in the favour of the deal; but market watchers peg it as a worthy deal.
