South Asia’s largest specialty media house CyberMedia India Ltd and International Data Corporation the global intelligence and advisory services firm announced their decision to end their partnership sources informed. The two companies will part ways officially from February 28, 2011 where both will be ending their long lasting relationship added sources.
IDC had CyberMedia as a partner and representative for its research business in India since 1987. It provided crucial data, trend analysis and direction to information and communications technology industry in India sources informed.
According to sources both IDC and Cyber Media will individually expand their businesses in India by spear heading into research for IT’s and other sectors. They both aim to have a strong direct presence in India.
The scope for research is rising in the Indian context with the Indian economy growing at a very quick pace. Market research activities for fields like biotechnology, outsourcing and environment are gaining importance. CyberMedia is looking forward to explore these high potential areas.
Whereas IDC is planning to cover India’s ICT market comprehensively and increase investment post break-up reported sources.
Both these companies have their individual strategies chalked out to minimize any shortcomings resulting out of the split.
