NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Services Companies), the Information Technology industry body has appointed Mr. Harsh Manglik as the new chairman of its Executive Council for the year 2010-2011.
According to NASSCOM, Mr. Manglik will succeed Mr. Pramod Bhasin, chairman for the year 2009-10 and join the organization with effect from April 20, 2010.
Mr. Manglik is presently leading Accenture India as its chairman and geography managing director. Earlier also, he has been a member of NASSCOM’s Executive Council.
Besides Mr. Manglik, NASSCOM also appointed Mr. Rajendra S. Pawar as the vice chairman of the executive council. At present, Mr. Pawar is leading NIIT Technologies as the chairman and managing director.
It is reported that Mr. Manglik will lead and assist NASSCOM in catalyzing the growth of the Indian software industry. Mr. Manglik along with the president Mr. Som Mittal and Mr. Rajendra Pawar will be responsible for realizing the Perspective 2020 vision of `Transforming Business, Transforming India’.
