Trend Micro has announced that Trend Micro Deep Security has topped Network World Magazine’s Clear Choice Test in virtualization security ranking. Deep Security was rated first among the five tested virtualization security products in four functional categories, including reporting, host management, policy controls and user management.
Among many other features, Trend Micro Deep Security was lauded for its useful reporting capabilities. “We looked at how easy it is to generate actionable reports and whether the product can automatically flag particular violations. We liked the reports from Trend Micro the best: they were the easiest to produce, parse and share with management,” said David Strom, reviewer.
Deep Security was also recognized for its attractive web management interface. At a glance you can see your entire VM collection, whether any protective measures have been installed and what alerts have been reported.
Trend Micro Deep Security provides advanced protection for systems in the dynamic datacenter—from virtual desktops to physical, virtual or cloud servers. It combines intrusion detection and prevention, firewall, integrity monitoring, log inspection and agentless anti-malware capabilities to help prevent data breaches and ensure business continuity. This dynamic, centrally-managed solution also supports compliance with important standards and regulations such as PCI, FISMA and HIPAA.
