Yahoo! Big Idea Chair 2011 Award breaks new records

Yahoo! India, the premier digital media company, recently announced the winners of the second annual 'Yahoo! Big Idea Chair Awards'. One of the most prestigious awards in the advertising industry, Yahoo! Big Idea Chair honors individuals and agencies behind some of the best creative work in digital advertising. This year, the Yahoo! Big Idea Chair Award was awarded to Ogilvy Worldwide for its Fox Crime campaign - Photography Case. Overall, there were 19 winners across nine different categories.
The last few years have witnessed a rapid growth of digital advertising in the Indian market and today it is the fastest growing category in advertising. Yahoo! has led the way in evangelizing the medium through its unique proposition of Science+Art+Scale, connecting advertisers to those customers that matter to them, at a scale to drive their business growth.

Big Idea Chair celebrates the growth of the digital media industry which today offers one of the widest creative canvasses to brand marketers to execute cutting edge campaigns. The entries this year clearly demonstrated deep integration of digital in the campaign planning stage of the different brands and a definite step forward in the evolution of digital media.

Tribal DDB India won two Gold awards for the Best Use of Display Advertising and the Best Use of Technology for its ‘This Banner with a mission’ campaign created for Star TV. Contract Advertising won the Gold for Best Online Video Advertising for its Rakshabandhan Campaign for Cadbury Celebrations while Ogilvyone Worldwide bagged the Gold for Best Use of Social Media for 'The Zoozoo World' campaign created for Vodafone Essar. Maxus India won the Gold for Best Use of Search award for its Buzz Metrics TV, Print and Search campaign.
Originally launched in the United States, the Big Idea Chair Award has evolved to become a global award that recognizes creative work in the digital community. Celebrating the quest for innovative and impactful advertising campaigns, the Big Idea Chair recognizes some of the best work by the online advertising community and fosters excellence in digital advertising. The entries were judged by a panel comprising 8 members referred as the "Futurists". Ernst and Young were the process tabulators and advisers for the awards.
