Dell Inc, the PC maker has announced the world's thinnest and lightest notebook with a 16-inch display, Latitude Z. Further, the company has also incorporated wireless charging in the laptop.
According to the company, the new device is aimed at business users and will focus on security and usability rather than outright performance. It weighs just under 2 kg and about 1.25 cm thick.
The device features an external module that plugs in via a USB cable and use solid-state drives (SSDs) for shedding weight. Users have a choice for 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities, and for the ultra paranoid, they can even have two of them in case the first one fails.
The external shell of the device comes with a matte "soft-touch" coating and available in a single color called Black Cherry.
However, the special feature in the device is its capability of wireless induction charging. Instead of a cord, the Latitude Z is designed to charge up its batteries without a physical connection. But, it will cost you about $395.
