Google, California based search giant has introduced a new application called as “Google Listen” especially for Android-powered devices. The new application provides a personalized audio news-magazine loaded with fresh and interesting content.
At present, the company is indexing audio files from about 3,000 RSS feeds but later it will cover all web audio, talking head videos, and short personalized text-to-speech segments.
With the new application, user can press the search bar which is present on the home screen for listening audio programs. If you hold the button for long, it will bring up more options. You also keep a My Listen queue, which lets you chose specific episodes to hear in the order you want.
Google Listen can be installed from Android Market feature of Android phones and consumers can keep subscriptions, which allow you to keep upto date on specific programs or search terms.
