A smartphone with multimedia functionalities has been launched in India, dubbed as LG Optimus Black. The handset is claimed as the lightest high-end Android smartphone, which weighs merely 109 grams.
It is reportedly said that LG Optimus Black runs Android 2.2 FroYo, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread update is expected sometime later in the next month. The handset is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor and includes 2 GB of internal storage. Also, it features 4-inch NOVA display, 5MP rear camera, 2 MP front facing camera, Wi-Fi direct, and 1500 mAh battery.
With thickness 9.2 mm, LG Optimus Black is one of the thinnest smartphones available in the market. The Optimus Black is tagged with Rs 27,000.
It would be interesting to know how LG Optimus Black with Rs 27,000 will survive in Indian market, where just two days back Apple has brought down the price of its iPhone 3GS 8GB to Rs 19,990.
