According to latest update, Lenovo Group, Morrisville, North Carolina based PC maker has planned to update its line of portable computer systems.
It is reported that the company will introduce a new Pineview-equipped netbook in its IdeaPad series. Further, Lenovo is also appeared to update its professional W series with a new model by the help of ODM manufacturer Wistron.
The company has not provided the specification of the devices but sources have provided few details of ThinkPad W701, a notebook that will be based on Intel processor clocked at 2GHz. Also, Wistron said that the new ThinkPad W-series will have a Wacom Digitizer.
The new device will have a Fujitsu hard disk drive, with upto 320GB storage, 17-inch WUXGA display with 1920 x 1200 resolution, which is said to designed by Samsung. It seems that ThinkPad W701 will feature Intel's quad-core Core i7-920XM, an 8MB L3 cache and boasts a 3.2GHz single-core max speed.
ThinkPad W701 predecessor, ThinkPad W700 was announced earlier this year, which is the best selling ThinkPad model till date.
