Lenovo, the PC maker has launched a number of new desktop and laptop computers based on the newest Intel and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) microprocessors.
The company has introduced a touchscreen desktop, called A700 all-in-one computer with a price tag of $999. The device uses Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) touch screen technology, which is generally used in medical applications, for more responsive touch feedback than other touch screens.
Lenovo has also unveiled the IdeaCentre Q150, a nettop PC with a price tag of $249. It is just 0.82” wide and 6.7” high, and comes with optional Nvidia Ion graphics chip so that users can watch high-definition video.
Besides laptops, the company has also introduced new laptops, which include the IdeaPad Z series multimedia laptops (starts from $649) and IdeaPad U series ultra-portables (starts from $699). The U series laptops weigh just 2.9 pounds, come with 14” display and are less than an inch thick.
