Microsoft, the software giant is rumored to release its much talked about “Pink” Smartphone platform on April 12. The tipsters indicated that company has rotated few press invites for an event scheduled on April 12 and it is expected that the event is related to unveil of the mysterious Smartphone platform, Pink.

Not only Pink, Microsoft would also unveil “Pure” and “Turtle” phones at the event. The phones are designed by the makers of T-Mobile Sidekick handset, Danger and are manufactured by Sharp. The related information and pictures for the handsets were leaked last year in September.

Meanwhile, the updates also indicate that Microsoft would be using Windows Phone 7 and the Zune operating system, based on Windows CE on the phones. The new phones are there to entice youths and exploit the latest social networking fad amongst them.

Microsoft is planning intensively to establish itself as the commercial brand with the series of Windows phone as insiders quote further to the above mentioned phones, the company would also be releasing two other (CDMA) phones, code-named "Lion" and "Pride." The phones would be launched on Verizon network.

The company is also speculated to bring its “Courier” tablet to give a tough competition to Apple iPad.
