NVIDIA, the world leading name for GPUs is expected to release a WHQL'd Physx driver for a range of its graphics cards by the month of August, this year. The new driver set to launch next month is named as Forceware.
The driver will supposedly support Physx acceleration on all support Geforce 8, 9 and newer 2xx series cards. The driver will support newer cards after receiving a Microsoft WHQL certificate.
The new driver will expand Physx support to all currently available PhysX titles on the market, including Cell
Factor, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, and Warmonger.
Unreal Tournament 3 is expected to come with a Physx mod.
The company has not seen a good second quarter. Its financial reports for the quarter were not able to meet the company’s own projections. The reasons cited by analysts backing this failure were quality of products. As per their say, the latest products launched by the company were not able to meet the standards.
