Nokia Corp, the world’s largest mobile phone maker has launched the Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition that will permit users to watch television on the move.
The new mobile device combines all the features of mobile TV, social networking, music and gaming in one compact 3G device. The mobile maker added that the broadcast TV consumption is on the rise and assumed that over 300 million people across the world will watch TV on their mobile phones by 2012.
Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition features DVB-H technology, which allows people to watch TV on its QVGA 2.4" screen in full-color, crystal clear and sharp images. With upto six hours long battery life, the mobile’s headset works as an antenna for outstanding reception.
The new device features all the latest social networking software, which includes Ovi Contacts, Facebook, MySpace and YouTube. Further, consumers can capture pictures and video clips using the 3.2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and LED flash.
The new Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition will be available around Rs. 11,000 excluding taxes.
