Samsung Electronics, the mobile phone maker has unveiled its first mobile phone maker based on bada operating system, called Samsung Wave at Mobile World Congress.
The new handset has a 3.3-inch display, which offers Samsung’s new Super AMOLED display technology and provides better viewing angles and vivid colors in sunshine. The display has 800x480 pixels resolution.
Samsung Wave comes with TouchWiz 3.0, which the company also uses in its Android and Windows based smartphones. With TouchWiz 3.0 technology, users can customize their homescreen with widget versions of the favorite social networks, like Facebook or Twitter.
The device features a 1GHz processor and also supports DivX, Xvid, MP4 and WMV video formats as well as HD video (720P) decoding and recording. For connectivity, the handset supports Bluetooth 3.0 and the Wi-Fi 802.11n standard.
Meanwhile, the company has not unveiled the price details and the availability of the device.
