According to latest updates, Samsung, the electronic giant is developing a new NVIDIA Ion-powered netbook platform, which would be the company's first such device. The new netbook called as Samsung N510 features a 1.66 GHz N280 processor, 11.6-inch WXGA display, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3-in-1 card reader, an integrated GeForce 9400M GPU and a 6-cell battery. The addition of a GPU could help while viewing HD video, but it could take away battery life.
The company has not officially announced any details, price-tag of the new device.
The disclosure of the Samsung Netbook follows the Lenovo IdeaPad S12, due in August, the first Netbook announced from a major PC maker to employ the Nvidia chip.
