Toshiba, the leading Japanese maker is soon launching an entirely new Ultra Mobile PC, Libretto W100.
The new launch is assumed to fit between the mini-netbook and e-reader category. The UMPC would come with dual touchscreens, supports Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi networking and above all runs on Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 7. The announcement coincides with 25th year celebration of Toshiba’s entry in the PC segment.
Meanwhile, the company has introduced other products catering to different market segments. Among the new announcement were lighter laptops and Android Smartbook.
Coming over to Libretto W100, the UMPC comes with dual 7” and multi touch enabled screens, is clamshell designed and weighs two pounds. The dual screens offer capability to check mails on one screen and content on the second screen, simultaneously. Additionally, the ultra mobile PC comes with built in USB port and memory reader. However, no words on pricings have been dropped as of now.
