According to a latest update, AOC India is on aggressive growth path in India. If reports are to be believed, AOC has increased its marketing budget by 25 percent compared to last year.
It is reportedly said that AOC is aiming to garner 26 percent share of the monitor market by 2012 end. The company is expecting this growth on the back of new product lines, a stronger channel, and better marketing activities.
Latest stats revealed, AOC has sold more than two lakh monitors and achieved a leadership position with 21.9 percent market share followed by Samsung with 20.2 percent in Q1, 2012. To the reader’s surprise, AOC has sold 6,000 units in May 2012 only in Delhi, the highest in the last six years.
According to Saurabh Grover, Director, Monitor Business at AOC India, despite hard times with the HDD shortage, a volatile rupee, and a hike in the prices of components, the company has managed to acquire substantial market share.
He further added, AOC is expecting to continue its growth momentum and will have 26 percent market share by the end of this year.
It is reportedly said that AOC is now trying to tap more tier-2 and tier-3 cities and aiming to expand its reseller base from the current 2,500 to 3,500 by the next quarter. In terms of newly launched products, AOC is all set to launch its monitor TVs in the 22-24 inch range very soon and expecting a 5 percent contribution from the new products in next quarter. The company will also launch its 22-inch and 27-inch IPS monitors, and 23-inch 3D monitors in India very soon.
Also, the company has started replacing its LCD monitors with LEDs from April 2012.
