Ahead of a major reorganization aimed to return the struggling web company to growth, Blake Irving Yahoo's head of products is leaving the company. According to latest chunk of information, the owner of the largest US Web portal made the announcement in an e-mailed statement.
Sources informed, earlier Irving was working at Microsoft Corp and has been at Yahoo since 2010.
According to an insider from Yahoo, Irving has been away from the company on vacation all week.
Analysts added, Irving's exit comes under the new leadership of Scott Thompson, who took charge as Chief Executive Officer of Yahoo in January.
Sources familiar with the matter informed our team that Thompson is looking for ways to increase efficiency and drive sales after the company fell behind rivals including Google Inc and Facebook Inc.
Seems, struggling Internet Company Yahoo is looking for significant ways to increase efficiency following a failed turnaround effort under Carol Bartz, (former CEO at yahoo) who was fired in September 2011.
