Merely hours after it official release, Google Chrome has become the number one free app for iPhones as well as iPads across all categories of users. If reports are to be believed, the popular Chrome browser has reached the landmark on US and India App Stores, in addition to various other countries.
It is reportedly said that Apple Inc has finally granted access to its arch rival Google’s popular web-surfing app to its devices at the second day of its developer conference in San Francisco.
It if found, Chrome for iOS inherits the same features as Chrome for Android including the ability to flick through tabs and ability to login with saved passwords as well as private browsing. Users can now easily switch from one tab to the other by simply dragging their finger from the left or the right edge.
Besides these intuitive fearures, iPhone and iPad users also enjoy other features like browser synchronization. The 'browser synchronization' synchonizes web browsing history and other settings across various devices and platforms that support Chrome.
Launched in 2008, Chrome browser overtook Microsoft’s Internet Explorer in May as the world's most popular web browser. Presently, Chrome has 310 million "active" users.
