EMC India appoints Praveen Sahai as new Channel Head

According to a latest update, storage giant EMC has appointed a new executive Praveen Sahai to spearhead the channel business in India. 

Earlier, Praveen Sahai was leading the business for Iomega (an EMC company) as Director of Sales, India & SAARC, and Strategic Marketing Director, Asia Pacific for the last eight years. 

Besides EMC, Sahai who has almost two decades plus of experience, has worked with numerous Indian companies and MNCs including Sun Microsystems, StorageTek and Citrix.

It is found, Alok Tandon, the previous Head of Channels for India & SAARC, has left EMC to pursue other opportunities. However,  Alok has been working hard to set up a strong foundation for the channel organization in the region for last two years. 

As a matter of concern, it is found, EMC India has inducted three senior executives at the helm, in a little span of ten months.

Reports revealed, Rajesh Janey moved to EMC as India President last September and former channel head for NetApp Surajit Sen joined EMC as Country Manager. Now, Praveen Sahai, who was Head – Strategy, Marketing & Corporate Affairs at EMC from July 2006 to December 2009 has become the new channel head.
