Google has recently opened up new fronts in hardware by launching a new Nexus 7 tablet to compete directly with other tablet makers including Apple and Amazon.
It is reportedly said that the new Nexus 7 tablet is made by Asus and will run on the latest version of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
Equipped with a 1,280-by-800 HD display, and runs a Tegra 3 chipset with a quad-core CPU, the new Nexus tablet packs 12-core GPU. In addition, the Nexus 7 includes a front-facing camera, and literally all the connectivity options that users can expect like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC (Near Field Communication).
Priced at $199, Google’s Nexus tablet is expected to see dawn in India only after September. For other countries, it is said that Google will ship the device in mid-July to customers in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Australia.
Market watchers believe, the Indian market is welcoming one tablet almost every day. As a result, India has a growing number of low to mid-range tablets and the Google Nexus 7 could further intensify the competition, especially if it is sold at the same starting price point of around Rs. 11,000.
Analysts further added, considering its nominal price factor and Indian user’s growing affinity towards tablets, the Nexus 7 has the potential to be marked as successful tablet in India. However, nothing can be said before its actual launch. So, stay hooked to get more information on this.
