Tablets have become the latest fad in tech industry, so it absolutely stands to reason that the media mentions one of them at least once with each passing day. According to a latest report, the search giant Google is joining hands with Asia-based hardware makers to introduce a low-priced, 7-inch tablet computer.
Sources informed that the Google tablet would be backed by Google own Android software and power hardware built by partners including Samsung and Asustek to compete with iPad and Kindle devices.
It is expected, an Asustek tablet could be released as early as May with a price tag of $199 to make it an option for shoppers considering other low cost options available in the market.
Analysts believe, Apple’s iPad has Numero Uno position in tablets. But, it is facing tough competition from numerous low cost tablets these days. Rival companies have now strategized to take market share from Apple by offering tablets in affordable prices. They have flooded the market with numerous low-cost tablets, hoping the customers will be happy with the lower cost.
Google has not revealed more information about its forthcoming tablet yet. So, users have to wait little more to lay hands on Google tablet. Till then, stay tuned.
