Claiming 60 percent power saving, Hewlett-Packard (HP) has reportedly launched a power-efficient desktop called HP Pavilion P2 in India.
It is reportedly said that the new Pavillion 2 works with a 90W power adaptor as against conventional desktops that work on 250W power supply units. The usage of 90W power adaptor reduces power consumption by up to 70 percent under normal usage conditions. Ultimately, it results in savings of almost Rs 6000.
Sources familiar with the matter informed our team that the new HP Pavilion P2 desktop comes in two versions; one is power-packed with an Intel Pentium 630T Processor and the other one is powered with an Intel Core i3 2120T Processor. Both the versions have in-built Vision Technology that gives super-sharp photos and smooth and HD video playback.
The stylish, streamlined and affordable HP Pavilion P2 is available in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 23,500.
commenting at the time of launch, Vinay Awasthi, Senior Director, Products & Marketing, PPS at HP India has stated, HP's newly launched Pavilion P2 desktop consumes such low power that even a regular UPS can support the product with up to one hour of back-up, for the uninterrupted computing experience.
He further continued, the new energy efficient product therefore helps users to achieve company’s broader goal of protecting the environment while remaining true to designing products that suit and benefit the consumers' preference in every way possible.
