Seems, Hewlett-Packard CEO Meg Whitman is planning a major revamp in the company. According to a recent report, the tech giant Hewlett Packard Co is planning to combine its PC and printing divisions into a single business unit.
It is reportedly said that Vyomesh Joshi, Executive Vice President of IPG and a 32-year HP veteran, is expected to leave the company. He has been at HP since 1980. Also, Todd Bradley, Executive Vice president of PSG is likely to lead HP’s combined business unit.
Sources informed, HP's Personal Systems Group, which makes PCs and laptops, is the biggest division at the company. Interestingly, it managed to earn $8.9 billion revenue in last quarter, while the Imaging and Printing Group which is traditionally one of HP’s most profitable groups was able to pull in $6.3 billion revenues. Together they account for about half of HP's total sales.
Any spokesperson from HP declined to comment on the report.
Market watchers quote,it would be the first major change at HP since former eBay chief Meg Whitman took over the company as CEO last September.
However, nothing confirm can be said by now as HP has not announced anything officially. So, stay hooked to get more information on this.
