Tablets are the latest buzzword in tech industry, so it absolutely stands to reason that the media mentions one of them at least once with each passing day. HTC is the new candidate planning to lead the tablet bandwagon in the coming year. If reports are to be believed, the Taiwanese smartphone major, HTC has recently made a couple of announcements related to its current and immediate future plans. According to the spokesperson present at HTC’s media, the company will launch their new tablet prototype early next year.
Though, the smartphone sales recorded by this brand during the fourth quarter was quite disappointing, HTC is hopeful to come back in a big way and pull all the attention with its new tablet device.
Despite new tablet, HTC is also planning a new series of smartphones to hit the markets worldwide soon. These smart phones will be powered with Google’s latest Android 4.0 version code-named Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating platform.
However, there are no confirmations on whether the new tablet model would also be supported by Android 4.0 or not.
It is important to note that HTC had gained excellent sales in 2010 and early 2011, with its shares more than three-fold in the 14 months to April 2011 and sales growing four-fold in one and a half years.
So, get ready to welcome the new HTC tablet soon. ITVoir NewsDesk |
