A recent survey has revealed a surprising fact that Indians accessing Internet from their smartphones out number their US counterparts.

It is reportedly said that the survey revealed that nearly 56 percent of Indian smartphone users accessed Internet multiple times in a day as compared to 53 percent in the US. To the reader’s surprise, there is a total of 245 million smartphone users in the USA. On the other hand, India has even less than half of smartphone users in the US. 

In addition, the survey had a few surprises in store revealing that the usage of smart phone between the age group of 18- 29 is the highest. It is found, the phone is no longer just a means of communication by making calls and sending sms, while people today use their smartphones to search, follow news, watch TV, and listen to music, connecting with family & friends.

Stats revealed, almost 75percent of the smartphone users regularly visit Social Networking sites; 54 percent in the USA, while81 percent of Indians check their email. Moreover, Indians have always been deeply attached to such socializing. As a result, even some companies started worrying about the same. 

Another key mobile insight that has been revealed by the survey is that 97 percent of smartphone owners are heavy users while at home.
