As per a latest update, Indian IT infrastructure market will reach $2.05 billion, a 10.3 percent boost over 2011’s value. The value is further expected to reach $3.01 billion by 2016.

Sources informed, servers, which is a significant segment of the Indian IT infrastructure market, are expected to touch a benchmark of $754.5 million by 2012 end and will grow to $967.2 million by 2016.
In addition, the external controller-based storage disk market in India is likely to grow from $439.4 million in end-user spending to $842 million by 2016.It is said that external controller-based storage disk market is one of the fastest growing segment within the IT infrastructure market.
As far as the enterprise network equipment market (including LAN and WAN equipment) is concerned, it is likely to jump from $861 million in 2012 and to $1.2 billion by 2016.
Naresh Singh, Principal Research Analyst at Gartner group, has shared his views that Indian IT organizations are making a big shift from a distributed IT setup to a more manageable and efficient centralized model. As a result, it is leading to consolidation of branch and remote IT resources into fewer, but larger data centers.
