It is found, India is at the cusp of Cloud revolution and there are a lot of things which need to be taken care of, especially by the government in order to promote Cloud Computing in the country, market experts believe.
Experts added, first of all, there should be a proper Cloud Policy, which will lay a foundation for a large scale adoption of the cloud by different government as well as non-government entities.
Another foremost requirement is the data security; the Cloud’s fluid architecture presents the biggest challenge. For this, government has to make amendments in the current laws to tone down jurisdictional conflicts and provide full proof security measures to be adopted.
Acknowledging this, the existing regulators including the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) or Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Insurance Regulatory Development Authority (IRDA), and Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) should develop significant guidelines, analysts believe.
It is found, power requirements, connectivity and bandwidth, real estate, technology enablers, awareness and local language support are the base of the cloud computing pyramid. Government is the considerable unit which can help to overcome these challenges. However, involvement of the private sector is also equally important for swift and effective enablement.
Undoubtedly, Cloud Computing is catching up fast in the global IT sector; amendments in government laws can further help businesses to explore more opportunities with cloud computing.
