Intended to catch-up with the smartphone market, Lenovo, which is making a concerted global push into computing devices like tablets and Ultrabooks, is now all set to launch a smartphone. Lenovo’s new smartphone is dubbed as K800.
Sources informed, Lenovo K800 is the second Intel powered smartphone with a new 32-nanometer mobile chip marked as Medfield.
Packed with a 4.5-inch a TFT display with 720p, Intel-powered smartphone K800 is powered with 1.6GHz Medfield processor and runs on Android4.0 OS as well as Lenovo's LeOS. To capture merry moments, K800 is equipped with 8 megapixel shooter with dual-LED flash at rear end and a front-facing camera for video calling.
In addition, the new Lenovo K800 equips HDMI-out, near-field communication (NFC), and Intel wireless display technology for steaming video to a compatible HDTV.
Seems, Lenovo is seeking to build a position in the fast-growing smartphone market, where it has not seen much success till date.
