After proving its worth in search and online advertising, Google might be casting a watchful eye on gaming App development. According to latest chunk of information, Google is secretly working on a native Android app centre similar to iPhone’s Game Center app.

It is worth noticing, Apple’s Game Centre app connects players in most of Apple's iOS games.

Insiders informed, Google's software is likely to include a social "achievement" system, which gives user’s awards and trophies for achieving certain level in games. Moreover, it will include a leader board which will rank players against their friends.

Presently, Android app developers are using a variety of third-party solutions for creating apps like OpenFeint.

Reviewers believe, the latest move by Google is a significant step, necessary to make Google a strong contender in the fast-growing mobile games market.

However, nothing can be said for the time being as any spokesperson from Google has denied to comment on the issue. So, stay hooked to get more information on this.
